The list of favorite and most influential authors of the 21st century is a subjective one. It is based on personal preferences and tastes. The Best Books of the 21st Century According to Amazon

Amazon is one of the biggest and most popular book retailers in the world. They have a very strong customer base and a huge library of books to choose from.

    Amazon books

    Amazon books

The company has been publishing a list every year of what they believe are the best books of the 21st century so far. This year, they published their list on December 6th, 2018 with 25 different books on it.

The list includes some well-known titles such as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, The Girl Who Drank the Moon, The Alchemist, and The Great Gatsby. It also includes some lesser-known titles like All Our Names by Dinaw Mengestu and The Power by Naomi Alderman that deserve more attention than they are receiving.

    The Last Samurai

Best Book of the Century (So Far), Christian Lorentzen Helen DeWitt’s The Last Samurai (20 Sep 2000). Helen DeWitt’s made history again by becoming the first author to be honored for any book in the trilogy.

    Nature of genius

Nature of genius: Ask some writers and critics for new classic Picking books, it’s no surprise that most of them call novels about the Nature of Genius.

The narrow road to the deep north by Richard Flanagan

Ten years after publishing its first ABR reader poll, The Australian Review of Books is again asking readers to name their best Australian novels, but for those published this century.

Wisconsin Indian Literature: Anthology of Native Voices by Kathleen Tigerman

Thank you 21st Century for bringing us many books by Wisconsin authors who are someone that was born here or significant time on here, including those that have been reviewed in the most creative places and won major awards. It has become one of the most memorable and best fantasy novels we have ever read.

    Cloud Atlas by Liam Callanan

The 2004 novel Cloud Atlas spanned several genres and centuries, including a plot set in the distant future. Essentially, the book follows a specific set of characters through the multiple avatars they sometimes find themselves in. Cloud Atlas is a book of Russian puppets in which stories are nested within stories, spanning centuries and genres of composure

The Thief of Time by John Boyne

The Thief of Time is a structural showcase of power and perhaps one of the most interesting books of the 21st century (so far).

    The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt

The Goldfinch was well received by critics, and Amazon even declared it the best book of 2013.

    Normal People by Sally Rooney

This bestselling novel won the 2018 Costa Book Award for Best Novel.

    Ghostwritten

David Mitchell’s epic-historical ghost story is a three-part novel. My respect for the novel is based more on the books’ return to 19th-century style emotional storytelling, as opposed to the hyper-masculine modernity of mid-century America, which insisted on short sentences from the point of view of nascent psychopaths (yes, that was a mockery of Hemingway ). Indeed, what Michaels wrote is quite in keeping with David Mitchell’s epic-historical ghost story and is one of the best parts of the book: a direct lens into a very unusual mind, so to speak.

    Visitation by Jenny Erpenbeck

In Erpenbeck’s third novel, we have “a sense of history that listens and speaks to itself,” as Hilary Mantel puts it.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

My favorite is the Half-Blood Prince, but it’s the best because the British master of fantasy is away from the “Hogwarts school year” mold of really scary moments, really wonderful moments, and waking up my wife Come to the moment heart…night, cry, I read it for the first time.

A Storm of Swords by George R.R. Martin

Since the release of the first chapter in the 1990s, seven novels have amassed a voracious fan base. The series, which spawned seven novels, ten films (and beyond), four amusement parks, two Broadway shows, and the richer author of seven novels of the Queen of England, already had three excellent novels by the turn of the century. In a series with hundreds of characters spread across the medieval world, it’s probably hard for fans to agree on much, but most will tell you that of the five books released so far, A Storm of Swords is the best.
